Request for Update on the Incubated Project Mentioned in May 2026

Dear MUX Contributors and Community,

I am writing to respectfully request an update regarding the new project referenced by Jean in the following post:

In that reply (posted in response to the wind-down proposal), it was stated that contributors had been developing a new stealth-mode project incubated by MUX. After several months of development, the product was said to have launched in beta, with marketing and growth efforts expected to begin in the coming weeks under a lean budget. It was further noted that, once operational, MUX would receive a share of the project’s future profits and valuation, with the intention of benefiting POL and veMUX holders. A commitment was also made to provide bi-monthly updates on the project’s operations.

As approximately three months have now passed since that statement, and given the previously indicated bi-monthly update cadence, I would appreciate any information the team is able to share at this stage. Specifically:

  • Whether the project remains in active development or has progressed beyond the beta phase mentioned in May
  • Whether any public or semi-public updates are available regarding its status
  • Whether the originally anticipated marketing and growth efforts have commenced, or if the timeline has been adjusted
  • Any high-level information that can be shared regarding how the project is expected to create value for POL and veMUX holders going forward

I fully understand that projects in stealth or early stages may have limited information that can be disclosed publicly, and I appreciate the need for careful communication. My inquiry is made purely in the spirit of constructive community engagement and a desire to stay informed about initiatives intended to benefit token holders.

Thank you in advance for any update you are able to provide.

Best regards
zeri

Thanks for following up. You are right that we previously said we would provide regular updates on the incubated project, and we did not provide the latest update on the cadence we originally indicated. Apologies for the delay.

The project remains active and has progressed beyond the initial beta stage mentioned previously. It is now in an early operational phase, with contributors continuing to work on product development, user acquisition, and validation of the business model.

Initial marketing and growth efforts have also begun. At this stage, however, the approach is intentionally lean. The focus is on testing acquisition channels, understanding user behavior, refining the product, and validating whether the business can develop into a sustainable, revenue-generating operation rather than scaling paid marketing aggressively before those fundamentals are clearer.

We are not planning to publicly identify the product or publish granular operating metrics at this stage. Early-stage data can fluctuate significantly while acquisition, pricing, monetization, and product positioning are still being tested. Individual metrics observed during this period can therefore provide an incomplete or potentially misleading picture of the product before there is enough operating history to evaluate it properly.

We believe it will be more useful to provide a broader update once there is sufficiently meaningful progress and operating data for the community to evaluate the project in context.

The intended relationship with MUX also remains the same as previously described. If the project develops into a sustainable and profitable business, the intention is for MUX to participate in the economic value created by it, with the goal of creating value for the MUX ecosystem, including POL and veMUX holders. At this stage, however, it would be premature to assign a value to that potential contribution.

From a funding perspective, this work is being carried out using previously approved and unused contributor resources. MUX Contributors will not submit a new annual budget proposal for the upcoming cycle, and the project is not being developed on the basis of an open-ended commitment of additional POL funding.

The objective is therefore straightforward: continue operating the project with a disciplined use of the remaining resources, determine whether it can establish a sustainable business model, and provide the community with a more meaningful update once there is enough information to evaluate the outcome properly.
